The Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) is conducted by the National Teaching Council (NTC). Follow the steps below carefully to complete your registration successfully.
Step 1: Confirm Your Eligibility
Before registering, ensure you:
- Hold a Bachelor of Education Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
- Have your details uploaded to the NTC indexing portal by your training institution.
- Have a GTEC evaluation certificate (for foreign degree holders).
Step 2: Pay the Registration Fee
Fees:
- Fresh Candidates (3 papers): GH₵ 450.00
- Resit (1 paper): GH₵ 150.00
- Resit (2 papers): GH₵ 210.00
- Resit (3 papers): GH₵ 385.00

After payment, you will receive a Voucher Serial Number and PIN.
Step 3: Visit the Registration Portal

Step 4: Complete Online Registration
1. Select New Registration
2. Enter your Voucher Serial Number and PIN.
3. Fill in your personal details correctly.
4. Select your examination centre.
5. Upload a passport-size photograph (white background, less than 250KB).
6. Review all information carefully.
7. Submit your application.
Step 5: Print Your Confirmation Slip
Print and keep at least two copies of your registration slip.
