The 2025/2026 batch of National Service Personnel, who completed their national service have reportedly started receiving their transportation allowance. However, the payment process has sparked dissatisfaction among many beneficiaries due to what they describe as unfair and inconsistent distributions.
According to several personnel, the amounts received vary from person to person, with no clear explanation or official communication regarding the structure or criteria used in determining the payments. This situation has left many confused and disappointed.
Many affected personnel believe that since they all served under the same National Service programme and performed similar duties during their service period, the transportation allowance should have been distributed equally among all beneficiaries.
The growing concerns have led to calls on the Ghana National Service Authority to address the issue promptly. Some personnel are appealing to the Authority to either review the payment process or provide a detailed explanation outlining how the allowances were calculated and why certain individuals received higher amounts than others.
For many service personnel, transparency and fairness in such payments are important in maintaining trust and confidence in the system.
