One Million Coders Program Opens Registration: What to Do If You’ve Already Registered or Are Facing “Unable to Send Verification Code” Issues

The One Million Coders Program has officially opened its registration portal today. While many applicants have already registered and taken the aptitude test, a large number say they are yet to receive any feedback regarding their application status.

In response to these concerns, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, provided important clarification.

According to the Minister:

> “If you applied for the pilot and didn’t get in, don’t reapply. Just log in and choose your course when the portal reopens.”

This directive applies specifically to individuals who applied during the pilot phase but were not selected. Such applicants are not required to submit a new application; instead, they should simply log back into the portal and select their preferred course once it becomes available.

Applicants Facing Verification Code Issues

Some users have reported challenges with the “Unable to send verification code” error during registration. Addressing this issue, the Minister responded to a comment on his official Facebook post, stating:

> “I’ve flagged this with the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT team. They will sort it out ASAP.”

This indicates that the technical team is aware of the problem and is actively working to resolve it.

What You Should Do

All interested applicants are advised to remain patient and continue checking the portal for updates. Those experiencing issues should wait for the fix, while previous applicants should prepare to log in and select their courses once the system is fully operational.
