NSA Issues Warning Over Fake Letter Claiming Validation Fees

The National Service Authority (NSA) has issued an official warning to the general public, prospective National Service Personnel, and other stakeholders over a fraudulent letter currently circulating and falsely claiming that the Authority is charging validation fees.

According to the NSA, the letter is false and fabricated and did not originate from the Authority. The public has therefore been urged to disregard the document and avoid making any payments or sharing personal information based on the claims contained in it.

NSA Clarifies Position on Validation Fees

The Authority has categorically stated that it has not issued any notice or directive introducing validation fees as claimed in the circulating letter.

The NSA further explained that the format, content, language, and purported signature contained in the letter do not conform to its official communication standards.

The Authority also noted that no such notice has been published through its official website or verified social media platforms.

Public Advised Not to Make Payments

The NSA has cautioned the public against making payments to individuals or third parties who may use the fraudulent letter to demand money.

The Authority emphasised that it has not authorised any individual or third party to collect validation fees on its behalf based on the claims contained in the fake notice.

Prospective National Service Personnel and the general public are therefore encouraged to exercise caution whenever they receive information relating to National Service registration, validation, payments, or other official activities.

Verify Information Through Official Channels

The NSA is urging the public to verify all information through the Authority's recognised communication channels before taking any action.

Members of the public are also encouraged to report suspicious communications and fraudulent activities purporting to originate from the National Service Authority.

The Authority has reminded the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to individuals who may attempt to exploit the National Service process for financial gain or to obtain personal information.

Do not be deceived. Always verify before you trust, pay, or share your personal information.
