2026 GTLE: NTC Requires Teaching Practice Scores for Candidates Who Completed Programmes in 2025 and Beyond

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has issued an important directive to candidates preparing to sit for the 2026 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE).

According to the Council, all candidates who completed their teacher education programmes in 2025 and beyond must have their Teaching Practice Scores uploaded before they will be eligible to write the 2026 GTLE.

This requirement forms part of the eligibility verification process introduced by the NTC to ensure that candidates have successfully completed all practical components of their teacher education programmes before taking the licensure examination.

Candidates are therefore advised to contact their respective Colleges of Education or teacher training institutions to confirm that their Teaching Practice Scores have been uploaded to the appropriate system before the registration and examination processes are completed.
