Candidates who previously failed or were unable to pass one or more papers in the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) are expected to have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming September 2026 GTLE 2.
According to the registration guidelines, candidates who are re-sitting one or more papers are eligible to register for the examination by paying the applicable registration fees.
The guidelines indicate the following fees for resitters:
- One paper: GH¢150.00
- Two papers: GH¢210.00
- Three papers: GH¢385.00
This means that candidates who have outstanding papers may not necessarily have to wait for another examination cycle before attempting to complete their papers.
Fresh candidates, on the other hand, are required to complete the indexing process before registering for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination. The indexing fee for fresh candidates is GH¢50.00, after which they can use their indexing number to proceed with registration.
Therefore, resitters who meet the registration requirements are expected to have the chance to join the coming September 2026 GTLE 2 and rewrite the papers they were unsuccessful in.
