The academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic year for Colleges of Education has officially been revised. Although the start of school has been delayed, academic activities are well-structured to ensure smooth progression for all students across the various levels.
Students are advised to check their levels carefully, mark the key dates, and make adequate preparations ahead of time.
Key Highlights of the Revised Calendar
The academic year begins with Level 400 students reporting to campus on 1st November, 2025 for orientation towards Macro Teaching. One week later, on 8th November, 2025, Level 400 students proceed to their respective stations for Macro Teaching in schools.
For Levels 100, 200, and 300, students report to campus on 11th November, 2025 to begin the first session of the first semester, which will last six weeks. This session will end with students going home for the Christmas break on 20th December, 2025.
Students in Levels 100, 200, and 300 will resume on 9th February, 2026 for the second session of the first semester, spanning nine weeks. The first semester examinations for these levels will take place from 13th to 24th April, 2026, after which students will go on vacation on 24th April, 2026.
- Meanwhile, Macro Teaching for Level 400 students officially ends on 14th March, 2026.
Second Semester Schedule
All students in Levels 100, 200, 300, and 400 will report to campus on 17th May, 2026 to begin the second semester, which will run for 14 weeks. The second semester examinations are scheduled from 10th to 21st August, 2026.
- After exams, students will go on vacation on 22nd August, 2026.
Reopening Date
The academic year concludes with the reopening of all levels (100, 200, 300, and 400) on 12th October, 2026, marking the start of the next academic phase.
Final Note
Although the calendar adjustment has delayed the start of school, students are encouraged to remain focused and prepared. Every delay is part of the process, not the end of the journey.
