The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released postings for 6,867 eligible nurses and midwives for the 2026/2027 National Service Year.
According to a press statement issued on February 25, 2026, the postings are for candidates who successfully passed the March/April 2025 Licensure Examination (minor season) conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Who Is Eligible?
The postings cover trained nurses and midwives who:
- Passed the March/April 2025 Licensure Examination (minor season)
- Have been cleared by the appropriate regulatory bodies

All eligible nurses and midwives are required to:

2. Click on the Portal section
3. Access their respective place of posting
4. Follow the outlined procedures to complete the regional validation process
Important Dates to Note
- Regional Validation Begins: Thursday, February 26, 2026
- Regional Validation Ends: Friday, March 13, 2026
- Service/Rotation Officially Begins: Monday, March 2, 2026
Management of the NSA has urged all prospective National Service Personnel to complete their regional validation within the stipulated period to avoid any complications.
Legal Requirement
The Authority further reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who is:
18 years or older, and
Has completed an accredited tertiary institution (including universities and Nursing Training Colleges)
is mandated by law to undertake national service to the State.
