The management of the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) has announced important guidelines for candidates preparing to sit for the upcoming examination.
Who Can Register?
Candidates who have a resit in the Subject-Based GTLE are eligible to register for this sitting.
In addition, individuals who hold a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and wish to write the examination for the first time may register as New Candidates.
Important Notice
This examination is strictly available to candidates who have successfully completed their teacher education programmes.
Candidates who completed their programmes in 2025 must ensure that their Teaching Practice Scores have been uploaded before they will be permitted to write the examination.
Indexing Number Requirement for New Candidates
All new candidates are required to obtain their NTC Indexing Number before purchasing a GTLE voucher for new registration.
Applicants are therefore advised to confirm receipt of their Indexing Number before proceeding to buy a voucher to avoid any inconvenience during registration.
