The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced an extension of the registration deadline for the 2026 WASSCE for Private Candidates – First Series. The new deadline is Friday, 9th January 2026.
This extension applies only to manual registrations. It offers a final opportunity for prospective candidates who were unable to complete their registration during the initial period.
What Candidates Should Do:
Applicants are required to visit either the WAEC Office at Ridge, Accra, or any of the official WAEC Branch Offices across the country to complete their manual registration process.
WAEC emphasizes that:
- This is the final extension, and no further opportunity will be granted after the 9th of January, 2026.
- Candidates are strongly advised to act promptly and take full advantage of this extended period.
