The Ministry of Education, following a meeting held on 8th January 2026 with stakeholders including GTEC, the University of Ghana Council, and student representatives, has released the approved fees and charges for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Approved Fees:
1. Academic Facility User Fee: Pegged at the 2024/2025 rate.
2. SRC Dues: GH₵ 50
3. SRC Development Levy: GH₵ 150
4.GRASAG Development Levy: GH₵ 250
5. Telecel Broadband Levy: GH₵ 122 (optional; students must be informed of their right to opt out)
6. 75th Anniversary Levy: GH₵ 100 (applicable only for this academic year)
Note: These fees are only for the University of Ghana and do not apply to any other public tertiary institution.
A Fee Review Committee has also been established to assess future fee adjustment proposals from public universities before presenting them to Parliament.
