After successfully completing your one-year mandatory National Service, each personnel is entitled to receive a National Service Certificate, which officially confirms that you’ve served the nation.
- But many often ask:
Where Do You Collect Your NSS Certificate?
You will collect your certificate from the Regional Office of the National Service Scheme (NSS) where you were validated. However, you can only go for it after an official announcement from the NSS Authority confirming that certificates for your service year are ready.
What Do You Need to Go With?
When going to pick up your certificate, there’s one key requirement:
- Your Appointment Letter: This is the same letter issued to you during your initial regional validation process at the start of your service.
When you received the appointment letter, you were given three copies:
1. One for the Head of the institution where you served.
2. One submitted to the District NSS Office.
3. The last copy was meant for you to keep this is what you must take along when going for your certificate.
Without this letter, your request may not be processed, so ensure it's kept safe and available.
