NSS Certificate Not Ready? Here’s What National Service Personnel Can Do

National Service personnel who have completed their service but have not yet received their NSS certificate and urgently need one are advised to request an attestation letter as a temporary alternative.

While the original National Service certificates may not be ready for immediate collection, the National Service Scheme (NSS) allows personnel to request for an attestation to serve in its place. This attestation is valid and can be used for job applications, school admissions, or any official purpose where proof of service is required.

Current service personnel who may also need the certificate for important reasons can equally request for an attestation letter from their district or regional NSS office.

To proceed, personnel should visit the nearest NSS District Office or Regional Office and make a formal request. The process is straightforward, and staff are available to assist with the necessary documentation.

This option ensures that no one is disadvantaged due to delays in the issuance of the official NSS certificate.
