The Volta River Authority–Northern Electricity Distribution Company (VRA-NEDCo) has announced a planned power outage affecting parts of Sunyani and surrounding communities on Friday, September 18, 2026, and Saturday, September 19, 2026.
According to the public announcement, the outage will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on both days. The interruption is to enable the GRIDCo maintenance team to carry out maintenance works at the Sunyani Switch Yard.
