The Volta River Authority–Northern Electricity Distribution Company (VRA-NEDCo) has announced a planned power outage that will affect customers receiving electricity from the Mim Bulk Supply Point.
According to the notice, the power interruption is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Reason for the Outage
NEDCo explained that the outage is necessary to enable the GRIDCo maintenance team to carry out maintenance works on the power transformer. The exercise is intended to enhance the smooth and reliable delivery of electricity to customers.
Areas to Be Affected
The following areas and their surrounding communities are expected to experience the power interruption:
- Mim and surrounding communities
- Goaso and surrounding communities
- Hwidiem and surrounding communities
- Kenyasi and surrounding communities
- Kukuom and surrounding communities
- Nkrankwanta and surrounding communities
- Parts of Tepa and surrounding communities
NEDCo has expressed regret for the inconvenience the planned interruption may cause customers and appealed for their patience and understanding.
The notice was issued by the Area Management, Sunyani, on September 12, 2026.
