The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned maintenance exercise in parts of the Ashanti Region, which will result in a temporary power outage in the affected communities.
According to ECG, the maintenance work is being undertaken to improve service delivery and ensure better electricity supply.
Date and Time of the Outage
The planned maintenance is scheduled for Sunday, 6th September 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Areas to Be Affected
The following communities and their surrounding areas are expected to experience the temporary power interruption:
- P. G. Awasu
- Bidiem Nyameso
- Nhyiaeso
- Tweapiase
- Hia
- Numberso
- Fehiakobo
- Sukukumu
- Domeabra
Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to take note of the scheduled interruption and make the necessary preparations ahead of the maintenance exercise.
ECG has expressed regret for any inconvenience that may arise from the planned maintenance works and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of customers in the affected areas.
