Registration for the 2026 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2 is expected to commence this month, August, with the registration deadline set for 21 August 2026.
However, candidates who will be writing the examination for the first time are currently unable to purchase registration vouchers through the NTC portal.
As of now, the National Teaching Council (NTC) has not issued any official statement explaining the temporary unavailability of vouchers for new candidates.
Nevertheless, information gathered by Lincoln Media Resourcez Edu and received at our news desk indicates that first-time candidates are required to have their Teaching Practice Scores uploaded before they become eligible to register for the 2026 GTLE 2.
This requirement is believed to be the reason why the New Registration Voucher option has been temporarily removed from the voucher purchase portal.
Candidates are therefore advised to remain calm and have their registration fees ready. Once all Teaching Practice Scores have been successfully uploaded and verified, the portal is expected to be reactivated, allowing eligible candidates to purchase their vouchers and complete their registration.
