NTC Explains Why Some 2026 GTLE I Results Were Blocked

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has explained why the results of some candidates who participated in the 2026 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) I were blocked.

Lincoln Media Resourcez Edu has been following concerns surrounding the blockage of some candidates’ results and sought clarification from the National Teaching Council.

According to the response from the NTC, “The only reason that may lead to candidates results being blocked is examination malpractices.”

The clarification serves as an important warning to candidates preparing to participate in the upcoming GTLE. Candidates are expected to strictly adhere to all examination rules and regulations and avoid any form of examination malpractice.

The NTC has published examination offences and their corresponding penalties. These include cheating, possession or use of unauthorised materials and electronic devices, attempting to influence examiners, and other forms of misconduct. Depending on the offence, sanctions can include cancellation of a paper, a ban from writing examinations for a specified period, dismissal and, in some cases, prosecution.

A Caution to Upcoming GTLE Candidates

Candidates preparing for the upcoming examination should therefore take the warning seriously. Success in the GTLE should be achieved through proper preparation, hard work and strict compliance with examination regulations.

Candidates are advised to read and understand the examination rules before entering the examination hall and to avoid carrying or using unauthorised materials or devices.

The National Teaching Council continues to oversee the conduct of the GTLE as part of its mandate to regulate the teaching profession and license teachers in Ghana.

The message is clear: Avoid examination malpractice. Your result and professional future may be at risk if you violate the examination rules.
