Ghana Education Service (GES) has outlined a tentative timeline for the completion of the 2026 teacher recruitment exercise.
According to the letter dated June 23, 2026, GES stated that it is currently reviewing all applications received to ensure that applicants meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the recruitment advertisement.
The document further indicated that the recruitment process would follow the schedule below:
- By June 30, 2026: Completion of the review of all applications.
- By July 20, 2026: Announcement of shortlisted candidates.
- July 20 to August 31, 2026: Onboarding processes at the Regional and District levels.
The letter also noted that successful applicants are expected to officially assume duty on August 31, 2026.
Management reportedly expressed appreciation to all applicants for their interest in serving the nation through the Ghana Education Service and appealed for patience throughout the recruitment process.
Applicants are, however, advised to regularly monitor official GES communication channels for updates and confirmations regarding the recruitment exercise.
