Update on Outstanding National Service Allowances – What You Need to Know

The National Service Scheme (NSS) has issued an important update regarding outstanding allowances for personnel. Here are the key highlights and what it means for you:

1. Pending Allowances Will Not Be Automatically Paid

Unlike previous months, unpaid allowances up to your completion month will not be disbursed automatically.  A new process is being introduced.

2. Transition to a New Portal

The NSS Authority is currently working on moving all service personnel to a new digital platform for payment processing and related activities.

3. New Validation Process Required

Once fully transitioned, payments will require personnel to undergo a payment validation process, similar to what was done before the old system was phased out.

4. System Not Ready Yet

Currently, the logistics and tools required for this process are not fully set up, which means validation and payment processes are on hold for now.

5. Portal Access Issues Acknowledged

Personnel who are trying to log into the new portal and facing challenges are not alone these issues are known and being addressed.

6. Clear Directives Will Be Issued

Once the payment process is ready, detailed instructions and support will be provided to help resolve any access or validation issues.

7. Patience Advised

For now, all service personnel are urged to remain patient and wait for further communication from NSS.
