Allegedly: New Appointment Letters Issued by GES Despite No Official Recruitment Announcement

Recent secret recruitment information and pictures circulating the internet  within the Ghana Education Service (GES) have left many teacher trainees puzzled and concerned. Despite the absence of any official announcement regarding a new round of recruitment, some individuals have reportedly received new appointment letters, raising questions about transparency and fairness in the system.

GES, in its official communication, clarified in paragraph 3 of its recent release that the new appointment letters were issued as part of a follow-up process after financial clearance was extended in October 2025 for applicants from the 2024 batch. These individuals had earlier received fake appointment letters and were left in limbo due to the inability to verify their postings. GES has since re-issued genuine appointment letters at no cost to correct the situation.

However, this quiet correction process, with no public update or recruitment notice, has given the impression that something more is going on behind the scenes. Teacher trainees who completed college in 2023 or earlier, including backlog applicants, are left wondering whether recruitment is being handled discreetly possibly excluding others who are equally qualified and waiting.

The lack of clear communication has fueled speculation, and many are calling on GES to publicly clarify the recruitment status, ensure transparency, and maintain fairness in the selection process for all eligible applicants.
